Ardent Mills Expands Business

Ardent Mills in Martin’s Creek has accepted their first unit grain train from the Midwest. For the past year, Ardent Mills and Norfolk Southern Railway were making an expansion loop at the Martin’s Creek plant in preparation to accept larger trains of grain. These trains are called “unit trains” and originate from the Midwest USA where they are loaded with grain and brought to the Martin’s Creek facility for processing.  Ardent Mills is expecting 2-3 100-car unit grain trains a month.  It is great to have another business expanding their operations in the Lehigh Valley area.
