Today is National Dog Day! It’s a time to celebrate our furry pals!
If you’re like me, your dog is a part of your family and mean so much to you. Mine brings me so much happiness. She’s such a loyal pal. She was also a rescue. Her name is Ginger and she’s always by my side.
This is Ginger. She loves licking the remaining peanut butter from the jars. She fell asleep with it.
Read about National Dog Day
August 26, 2018 in the USANational Dog Day takes place on August 26, 2018. It’s aim is to honor dogs, and to rescue dogs from homelessness and abuse. It was founded in 2004 by National Dog Day Foundation. National Dog Day wishes to encourage dog ownership of all breeds and embraces the opportunity for all dogs to live a happy, safe and ”abuse-free life”.Most breeds of dogs are at most a few hundred years old, having been artificially selected for particular morphologies and behaviors by people for specific functional roles. Through this selective breeding, the dog has developed into hundreds of varied breeds, and shows more behavioral and morphological variation than any other land mammal.
