Frontal boundary shifts east Saturday... heatwave looms next week...

Friday's stalled frontal boundary begins to push back east Saturday with morning showers possible before it exits, then clouds may give way to some sun in the afternoon. The front washes out and dissipates on Sunday, and weak high pressure will build into our area in its place and that leads to a mostly sunny day on Sunday with temperatures returning to the lower 90s.

Hot and humid conditions will carry into the middle of next week with highs in the lower to middle 90s. A couple of chances for diurnally-driven thunderstorms both Monday and Tuesday afternoons, but activity is likely isolated to very widely scattered. Severe weather is not expected either day with a clear lack of forcing. On Wednesday, a cold front approaches that will lead to scattered thunderstorms that will be more organized ahead of the boundary. The front itself moves through Wednesday night with scattered showers and thunderstorms continuing. For now, we expect this front to clear in time for a dry Thursday with lowering temperatures and humidity. It remains pleasant on Friday with partly cloudy skies expected.
