Unsettled on a few occasions through early next week…

The next system approaches Friday afternoon, with showers that continue into the evening hours after a mostly cloudy start to the day. Highs will reach the middle to upper 40s this afternoon, and too warm for any wintry precipitation concerns. Showers this evening will end before midnight, then remaining cloudy.

Saturday we’ll be in between systems, and mostly cloudy skies are expected throughout the day. Showers move in late Saturday night, then more showers are likely Sunday and at least part of Sunday night. As a trough advances toward the region Monday a few showers are still possible, then Tuesday we expect intervals of clouds and sun and cooler conditions as the trough settles in. We’ll be keeping an eye on a fast-moving northern stream system rounding the base of the trough Tuesday night and Wednesday that could produce a few rain/snow showers, otherwise returning to much colder conditions Wednesday and Thursday.
