PPL customers are accidentally getting 'Past Due" notices online

Allentown, PA - According to PPL customers who have noticed "past due" alerts on their online billing accounts, the company said to ignore them after another billing problem appeared.

Some customers that have used the PPL online service have said to get this notice:

"Your account is past due. You can avoid future late fees by making a payment or setting up a payment plan."

A company spokesperson has stated, "The past-due alert online was a website error that has been corrected. It is not related to the estimated bills."

This is another problem on top of the ongoing issue of PPL customers being billed incorrectly, an issue that has now affected over tens of thousands of customers.

The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission is now investigating the billing practices of PPL.
