16-year-old from Pottsville Area High School dies in a car accident early Sunday morning

NEW CASTLE TWP,. Pa - Kayden Zelinsky, a 16-year-old student from Pottsville Area High School died over the weekend due to a car accident.


According to authorities, the crash took place just before 4:30 a.m. Sunday on Darkwater Lane in New Castle Township

Dear Pottsville Area School District students and families,


It is with profound sadness that I am reaching out due to Pottsville Area High School student Kayden Zelinsky passing away in a car accident.


Our counselors and administrators will be available to assist students and families who need support and/or resources.


Please reach out to your child(ren)’s school or counseling office for yourself or someone else in need.


We extend our most heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Kayden.
