16-year-old male dies after two-vehicle crash near Emmaus High School


EMMAUS, Pa -


According to the Lehigh County Coroner's Office, a 16-year-old male was pronounced deceased earlier Tuesday in the area of North Street and Cedar Crest Boulevard near Emmaus High School following a motor vehicle accident.


At approximately 2:55 p.m., the Lehigh County Coroner's Office was contacted to respond to the scene, and upon arrival, there was one fatality. The victim was a passenger in a motor vehicle, according to the report.


According to the Coroner, an autopsy will be completed on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at the Lehigh County Coroner's Office & Forensic Center.


This is an active and ongoing investigation, involving multiple agencies.


The Coroner's office is currently in the process of family and next-of kin notifications and expressed their thoughts, prayers and deepest condolences to the victim's family and everyone who is unexpectedly grieving in this sudden and tragic incident. WGOLV also wants to extend our thoughts and prayers to all involved - the family, friends, and loved ones. This is such a tragic incident for everyone.


In addition to the Coroner's office, the Emmaus Police Department, with assistance from the Lehigh County District Attorney's Office and the Lehigh County Accident Reconstruction Team are investigating.


At this time, the Coroner's office does not anticipate releasing any additional information until after the autopsy is completed.
