Bar in the West End of Allentown announces it is closing its doors; 'it has been a great ride'

ALLENTOWN, Pa - According to a Facebook announcement a popular bar located on Liberty Street in Allentown is closing its doors.

Stooges announced, "Although the chapter of Stooges has come to an end, there are exciting new things to come that will be a great addition to the West End of Allentown".

Various comments were left expressing sadness in the announcement today:

One band wrote, "We are sad to hear. Best wishes"!!! Another person wrote, "You'll be missed"! Someone else wrote, "Sorry to hear this. Enjoyed your food." Yet another wrote, "So sad to hear! Wishing you the best in your future journey"

Stooges ended the announcement with, "Again, thank you for all of your support it has been a great ride!"

It is with mixed emotions that we have to announce the closing of Stooges. We greatly appreciate all of the support over the past couple years however the time has come for us to move on. Although the chapter of Stooges has come to an end, there are exciting new things to come that will be a great addition to the West End of Allentown. Again, thank you for all of your support it has been a great ride!
