Many have fond memories of Little House on the Prairie.
Earlier this week, actress, Hersha Parady, best known for her role as Alice in Little House on the Prairie passed away at age 78.
The official Little House on the Prairie Facebook page announced her passing.
"Today we mourn the loss of Hersha Parady, who brought to life the beloved character of Alice Garvey on Little House on the Prairie. Her incredible range as an actress truly shone through in her portrayal of Alice, and we will always remember the depth and heart she brought to the role. Our hearts go out to her family, friends, and fans during this difficult time. Rest in peace, Hersha Parady. You will be deeply missed."
Previous to her passing, a GoFundMe page was set up to to help with medical expenses related to Parady's struggle with a brain tumor that "robbed her of her strength, her memory, and sadly, her vibrant personality."
Parady debuted on Little House during its fourth season in 1977 as Walnut Grove schoolteacher Alice Garvey, a character who would go on to meet a memorably tragic end. Parady also had early roles on Bearcats!, Mannix, and The Waltons. She also took occasional roles on TV series, including Unsolved Mysteries, Second Noah, and a role as Principal Dimly on Keenan & Kel.
