Ed Christian, a longtime East Stroudsburg football coach passed away Tuesday morning at the age of 83. He passed away just one month after his wife, Margaret, "Peggy" Ann Christian. They were married 56 years.
His death was confirmed by the current coach, Matt Walters, and was announced on the Cavalier's football program social media account.

In 1967, Christian began as an assistant coach long before the district split into North and South high schools. In 1981, he became the head coach.
Christian taught English and even continued coaching after retiring from teaching. He eventually retired from coaching in the 2018 season.
He touched the lives of many kids and was considered a mentor and a local legend.
