National Park Service offering six free days to all their parks throughout the upcoming year

Do you enjoy the beautiful outdoors? If so, you are in for a surprise!



According to CNN, the National Park Service will be offering six free days to all their parks throughout the upcoming year, making it easier for the public to explore the great outdoors and the beauty that our national parks have to offer.


The following are the dates/ holidays which you may enter free of charge:

Note: You may still have to pay for certain amenities like camping, boat launches or special tours.


April 20: First day of National Park Week 

August 4: Anniversary of The Great American Outdoors Act 

November 11: Veterans Day








“National parks are America’s best idea, and there are more than 400 parks available to everyone, every day. The fee-free days provide a great opportunity to visit a new place or an old favorite, especially one of the national parks that normally charge an entrance fee. The others are free all the time.”  


Out of 428 parks, 110 parks are free to the public year-round.  

Those parks include the following locations:

Great Smoky Mountains National Park ,Redwood National Park, Hot Springs National Park, Congaree National Park, Gates of the Artic National Park, Lake Clark National Park , and Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
