According to the National Weather Service, the tornado that touched down near Bangor on Tuesday was classified as an EF1.
Peak winds were estimated to be between 80 and 90 mph, according to the preliminary report.
Numerous people submitted photos and videos to our Facebook page. Some captured the funnel cloud near their homes, while others did so while traveling on Route 191. Many also encountered hail the size of a quarter, which reportedly damaged at least one roof in the area, according to one individual I spoke to.
