New Jersey State Police announce the passing of K-9 Echo

The New Jersey State Police announced the passing of K-9 Echo.


On April 4, 2024, Echo was laid to rest due to health issues, according to the New Jersey State Police.


Echo faithfully served as the partner of Sgt. Christopher Pastor #6959.


K9 Echo


Echo was an explosive detection dog who participated in hundreds of deployments and served as a member of New Jersey’s Detect and Render Safe Taskforce, according to the New Jersey State Police.


Sgt. Pastor and Echo conducted explosive sweeps for the State House, state government buildings, and sports concerts at MetLife Stadium.


In 2014, Sgt. Pastor and Echo assisted in explosive sweeps at MetLife Stadium for Super Bowl XLVIII.


Thank you K-9 Echo for your dedicated 11 years of service to New Jersey.
