NOAA NWS Climate Prediction Center predicts "near normal" Atlantic hurricane season


Atlantic hurricane season starts June 1st so it's important to prepare now.


According to the NOAA NWS Climate Prediction Center, forecasters predict a *near-normal* Atlantic Hurricane Season for 2023 - with an emerging El Nino and above-normal Atlantic Ocean temperatures.


SUMMARY: NOAA predicts a likely range of 12-17 named storms, of which 5-9 could become hurricanes, including 1-4 major hurricanes. Forecasters provide these ranges with a 70% confidence.
