Philadelphia radio station bans Taylor Swift's music prior to Monday night's Eagles-Chiefs game

PHILADELPHIA, Pa -

As Philadelphia Eagles and their fans prepare for Monday Night's Super Bowl rematch at Arrowhead Stadium against the champion Chiefs, top 40 Philly radio station Q102 is banning Taylor Swif's music due to her relationship with Travis Kelce, who plays tight end for the Chiefs. The ban is expected to be lifted on Tuesday.

"Q102 is punting Taylor Swift from the radio station for the entire weekend because while Q102 loves Taylor Swift, we can't get enough of her, this weekend it's really important we show our support for the Birds," said Q102 radio host Nugget in an interview with CBS News Philadelphia.

Taylor Swift is actually a Philadelphia Eagles fan, according to sources at Fox News.

In May, she reportedly spoke about a lyric in one of her songs in which she has a line about an “Eagles shirt,” she noted that the shirt reference in the song is about the team. Swift confirmed during a recent concert — at the Philadelphia Eagles' home stadium, that she was, in fact, referring to the team in the lyric.
