One person died in 'police and fire' incident in Bethlehem

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - One person was killed in a "police and fire incident" on Friday morning in Bethlehem, according to Northampton County dispatchers.


The incident was reported around 8:53 a.m. in the 1700 block of Johnston Drive.



The City of Bethlehem Fire Department responded to an EMS Assist call and upon arrival, first responders determined that there was a previous fire and there was one fatality, according to WFMZ.


The cause of the fire remains unknown and is currently under investigation.


The name of the person who died has not yet been released.


The investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
