We regret to announce the passing of retired K9 Officer “ARMOR” of the Palmer Township Police Department.
K9 Armor was born in Czechoslovakia in 2011 and was trained as a dual-purpose dog, in tracking and narcotics.
K9 Armor loyally served the residents of Palmer Township in addition to businesses and visitors from September 2012 until his retirement in August 2021.
After retirement, K9 Armor went on to live his remaining years at home with his handler, Sergeant Umstead, his wife Jennifer, and their children.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Umstead Family, Palmer Township Police Department, and those he served in the community.
