Richard Lewis, the comedian and actor known for his roles on the HBO comedy "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and in the film "Robin Hood: Men in Tights," has passed away.
According to his publicist, Jeff Abraham, Lewis died of a heart attack at his home Tuesday night in Los Angeles.
Last year, the comedian revealed that he had been living with Parkinson's disease, according to the statement.

"His wife, Joyce Lapinsky, thanked everyone for all the love, friendship, and support and asks for privacy at this time," according to the statement.
Lewis was best known for his dark and self-deprecating sense of humor, starting his career at comedy clubs and making appearances on late-night talk shows like "The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson" in the '70s.
He starred on the ABC sitcom "Anything but Love," alongside Jamie Lee Curtis for four seasons between 1989 and 1992. and played a fictionalized version of himself on Larry David's "Curb Your Enthusiasm," where he can be seen in the 12th season which is currently airing.
Lewis also played Prince John in Mel Brooks' comedy classic "Robin Hood: Men in Tights" opposite Cary Elwes as the titular character.
In April 2023, Lewis announced that he was retiring from stand-up comedy after nearly 50 years and also revealed that he'd been diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease about two years prior. He was 76 years old.
