Tram crash at Universal Studios Hollywood injures 15 people, fire and park officials say

A tram crash at Universal Studios Hollywood injured 15 people on Saturday evening, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

The crash at the theme park "resulted in multiple minor injuries," according to a statement from a spokesman at the Studio City park.

The spokesperson said, "We are working to support our guests and understand the circumstances that led to the accident."

Officials say that first responders were dispatched around 9 pm.

Fifteen individuals with minor injuries were transported to nearby hospitals, according to fire officials.

An investigation into the accident will be led by the California Highway Patrol.
