ROCKLAND, ME
On Thanksgiving Day, at approximately 1:00 pm, Rockland Police in Maine responded to an alarm call at a local retailer.
When Officers arrived, they found a large front glass window smashed out and items knocked over inside.
Before beginning the search of the building for the burglar(s) suspected to be inside the store, Rockland police and officers from other jurisdictions secured the entry and exit points.
While clearing the building, officers met quite a surprise.. Like a deer caught in the headlights, they found the suspect. The suspect had a white tail and was in fact a white-tailed deer!
Fortunately, the animal was able to leave the building on its own and was not seriously injured.
