WWII Veteran Celebrates His 104th Birthday

FORT WAYNE, In - A World War II veteran from Fort Wayne, Indiana celebrated his 104th birthday last week at Kingston Residence surrounded by friends and family.

Harrison Hull served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II.

“I flew several different planes,” he said.

He celebrated his birthday with music, cake, and his favorite treat, a root beer float with his own personal goblet. He also received hundreds of birthday letters from the community to celebrate his special day.

In an earlier Facebook post, Amanda Craig, the Kingston Residence’s executive director asked people to send birthday cards, but she didn’t expect to receive so many.

“You can’t ask for anything better than that,” he said.

Hull says he’s met a lot of people over the years and likes to think he’s been an honest and trustworthy man.

“I don’t think I have an honest-to-goodness enemy in this world,” he said. “People like me.”

God Bless you Harrison and thank you for your service to our country.
