2 alarm fire in Bethlehem Township injures firefighter and two others early Monday morning


BETHLEHEM TOWNSHIP, PA


A 2-alarm fire which started in the early morning hours Monday injured three people, according to a WFMZ news report.


The fire was located in the 3700 Block of Tiffany Drive in Bethlehem, Township.


The fire was discovered by Palmer Township police units on patrol near the border of Palmer and Bethlehem Township, according to the article by WFMZ News.


Crews arrived to heavy fire conditions throughout the residence and it was quickly upgraded to a 2 alarm. Additional manpower was brought in to help fight the fire, according to Mike Nester of NVP Media. Officials say 50 firefighters responded to help extinguish the fire that took about 45 minutes to get under control.


A firefighter from Nancy Run Fire Company was taken to the hospital for burns, treated and released, according to Nancy Run Fire Comapny. Two homeowners were also taken to the hospital for evaluation, according to WFMZ News.


The resident's dog - a yellow lab mix is still missing, according to the article by WFMZ News.


There is no word on what caused the fire to start. The Bethlehem Twp. Fire Marshal is investigating.
