33-year-old Alburtis man fatally shot Saturday evening in Allentown; death ruled a homicide

ALLENTOWN, Pa. — A 33-year-old man from Alburtis was fatally shot Saturday evening in Allentown, according to the Lehigh County Coroner's office.


Miguel Steven Dalmasi was pronounced dead on Saturday, February 17 at 8:42 pm at the intersection of East Walnut Street at South Dauphin Street in Allentown, according to the coroner's office,


The Coroner says that Dalmasi was the victim of a shooting and his death was ruled a homicide.




According to a WFMZ news report, the shooting occurred at around 7:48 pm.


Dalmasi was with his family for a birthday party for his one-year-old relative when a group that was not invited to the party tried to gain entry, according to the WFMZ news report. Someone in this group shot at Dalmasi outside the building and hit him multiple times before the entire group fled, according to the report.


An autopsy will be completed on Tuesday, February 20.


In addition to the coroner's office, the Allentown Police Department, The Lehigh County Homicide Task Force, and the Lehigh County District Attorney's Office are investigating.
