36-year-old Kingston man dies following DUI crash in Mahoning Township

MAHONING TWP., Pa. - A 36-year-old man died on Friday following a motor vehicle collision in Carbon County.


According to the Lehigh County Coroner's office, Trevor S. Hunsicker of Kingston, Pa., was pronounced dead at 9:59 p.m. at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest.


The coroner determined that Hunsicker died of multiple traumatic injuries due to the collision with another vehicle.



The accident happened around 5:54 p.m. Friday in the 400 block of Ashtown Road in Mahoning Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police.


According to a WFMZ news report, police say Hunsicker and his passenger were traveling west on Ashtown Road at a high rate of speed when Hunsicker lost control of the vehicle and crossed into the eastbound lane, striking another vehicle. Both Hunsicker and his passenger were ejected from the vehicle.


Police say Hunsicker was driving under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.


The Coroner's office and Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the incident.
