QUAKERTOWN, Pa - A 59-year-old Quakertown man was convicted Wednesday of the repeated rape and sexual assaults of two girls in a Quakertown home, according to the Buck's County District Attorney's Office.
9-year-old man was convicted Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2024, of the repeated rape Matias J. Martinez Morales, formerly of Quakertown, was found guilty by a Bucks County jury of one count each of rape by forcible compulsion, rape of a child, indecent assault by forcible compulsion, and terroristic threats and two counts each of unlawful contact with a minor, indecent assault of a person less than 13 years of age, and corruption of minors.

The conviction came after three days of testimony in the emotional case.
After the verdict was read, Common Pleas Judge Jeffrey L. Finley revoked Martinez Morales’ bail and deferred sentencing for 90 days while he undergoes an evaluation by the Sex Offender Assessment Board.
“We are extremely satisfied with the jury’s verdict, and grateful that the brave young victims in this case were able to see justice done,” said Chief Deputy District Attorney Matt Lannetti. “Without their courage and the hard work of the assigned detective, we would not have been able to achieve this result.”
This investigation by the Quakertown Borough Police Department began in November 2022. That month Quakertown Detective Ryan Naugle received a child welfare report indicating that a 16-year-old female was raped by an adult male when she was four.
During a forensic interview conducted by the Child Advocacy Center, the victim reported that Matias Martinez Morales raped her several times and threatened to kill her and her family if she told anyone.
A second victim was interviewed by the Child Advocacy Center and reported that she was sexually assaulted multiple times by Martinez Morales when she was six years old.
This case was investigated by Quakertown Borough Police Detective Ryan Naugle and was prosecuted by Chief Deputy District Attorney Matt Lannetti, Chief of Child Abuse Protection
