A multi-vehicle crash on I-78 closes highway in Lehigh County

UPPER SAUCON TWP., Pa - A multi-vehicle crash in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 78 in Lehigh County has traffic stopping Tuesday afternoon.

According to PennDOT, the crash happened around noon near the Route 309 exit in Upper Saucon Township.

All lanes are reported to be closed in the area.

This is the second time today a crash has led to the closure of I-78. An earlier accident involving a dump truck carrying manure had the eastbound lanes closed

at the Route 412/Hellertown exit in Lower Saucon Township.
