A sinkhole on US 22 West in Northampton County leads to emergency lane closure

BETHLEHEM TWP., Pa - There is a lane closure on US 22 West between the PA 33 and PA 191 exits in Bethlehem Township, Northampton County due to a sinkhole, according to a news release from PennDOT.

A contractor is mobilizing to fill the sinkhole with concrete.

PennDOT says it is anticipated US 22 West will remain a single lane in this area for 24-36 hours.

Motorists are advised to use caution traveling through the area.
