A woman is seriously injured after being shot in Bethlehem

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - A woman is in the hospital after being shot in Bethlehem, according to Bethlehem Police.


According to the police, they recieved several 911 calls reporting a shooting that just occurred in the 400 block of Cherokee Street at 3:15 p.m., according to a news release.



Police said, one caller reported a female was struck by at least one gunshot.


Arriving officers were informed that the victim, a female in her 20s, had been transported to an area hospital in a personal vehicle.


The victim remains hospitalized with serious injuries resulting from a gunshot wound to the body, according to the release.


No arrests have been made at this time, and the investigation is ongoing.
