Allentown partners with Pennsylvania Dept. of Transportation for line painting project designed to help reduce the speed of traffic

ALLENTOWN, Pa -  The City of Allentown is partnering with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation on a line painting project for our state roadways.


Edge lines are being added to help reduce the speed of traffic on these busy roads.


The work is taking place on Tilghman Street, 15th Street, and 7th Street, where it's posted, "no parking".


The city has stated that vehicles parked in these areas will be ticketed and towed.



 Streets Affected:

- Tilghman St: Jordan St to 19th St (Both Sides)

- 15th St: Tilghman to Hamilton (Both Sides)

- 7th St: City Limits to Union (Both Sides)


Remaining Schedule:

6/18/24: 15th St (East Side), 7th St (East Side)

6/26/24: Tilghman St (Even Side)

6/27/24: Tilghman St (Odd Side)


This schedule is dependent on the weather.


Please make sure to move your vehicles to avoid towing.
