Allentown Police conduct speed enforcement detail Wednesday morning, resulting in 29 citations, 12 warnings, and 1 arrest

ALLENTOWN, Pa - This morning, between 9:00 am and 11:00 am, Allentown Police carried out a speed enforcement operation.


According to their social media post, the operation took place on American Parkway and Bradford Road, where the speed limit is 40 mph.

The following are the results over the two hour period of time:

 • 30 vehicles were stopped

 • 29 citations were issued

 • 12 warnings were given

 • 1 arrest was made for drug paraphernalia

 • The top recorded speed was an alarming 75 MPH


Officers would like to remind you that speeding puts everyone on the road at risk. Slowing down - even by just a few miles per hour—can make the difference between a near-miss and a tragic accident.


Your speed matters, and lives depend on it.


Today's enforcement details was in partnership with the Pennsylvania State Police.
