Bethlehem Police warn about a current scam involving using 'real' officer's names

BETHLEHEM, Pa - Bethlehem Police are warning the community about a a current scam.

According to police, callers are pretending to be City of Bethlehem Police Officers and using REAL officers' names and software making your caller ID falsely show that the call is coming from their police department.

BPD reminds you that they will NEVER call to solicit money for charity, unpaid fines or to avoid criminal charges.
