Blue Marsh Lake kicks off "Trees for the Fishes 2023" collection event and invites the public to recycle their Christmas trees

LEESPORT, PA - Blue Marsh Lake in Leesport, PA kicked off their Trees For The Fishes 2023 Collection Event, according to a post on their Facebook page.

They are inviting people to recycle their Christmas trees for aquatic habitat enhancement and other wildlife habitat resources.

Collection dates run from December 26, 2023 through January 07, 2024.

Drop Off Locations:

-State Hill Boat Ramp, 599 Brownsville Road, Sinking Spring PA

-Sheidy Boat Ramp, 5998 Bernville Road (Rte 183), Bernville PA

Trees must be CLEAN of the following:

-all decorations, i.e. tinsel, fake snow, garland, etc.

-colored paint

-chemical treatments

-Please no artificial trees, yard waste, or tree trimmings
