In 2022, the historic baseball stadium located in Memorial Park in the Borough of Quakertown had to be condemned due to its its deteriorating structure and unsafe conditions. Baseball games continued that year, but fans were unable to sit in the stands.
After a year of planning and careful consideration, the Borough of Quakertown unveiled plans this week for construction to commence on a brand new concrete stadium that will rise proudly in place of the old one, ensuring a modern, safe, and unforgettable experience for fans and players alike.
In the announcement this week, they stated, "While the demolition of this historic baseball stadium is a significant moment for our community, we firmly believe that this step is necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone who steps foot within the stadium. Our commitment to preserving the legacy and memories associated with the old stadium remains unwavering, and the new concrete stadium will carry that torch into the future.
With that being said, construction fences will be placed around the stadium this week to prepare for the demolition of the stadium. During this period, we ask that you please stay out of the area for your safety. "
