City of Allentown cancels Lights in the Parkway Monday due to flooding

 ALLENTOWN, Pa - The City of Allentown is canceling Lights in the Parkway Monday evening due to flooding.

The announcement on Facebook stated, "We regret to announce that tonight's Lights in the Parkway event, including the Walk, Bike, Run, and vehicular traffic, is canceled. Unfortunately, some of our wires are still submerged, which prevents us from safely electrifying the system."

For those with tickets to drive through tonight, please contact the Parks & Rec team at events@allentownpa.gov or 610-437-7750 to reschedule for a later date through December 31, 2023.

The final Walk, Bike, Run event of the season is rescheduled for Tuesday, January 2, from 5:30-8:30 pm.
