Coroner called to fatal dump truck crash Tuesday morning in Lehigh Twp.

LEHIGH TWP., Pa. -- Authorities are investigating a fatal crash in Lehigh Township, Northampton County that took place early Tuesday morning.

The crash happened around 6:30 a.m. on Route 145 (Riverview Drive) at Mulberry Drive, just south of Walnutport, according to dispatchers.

According to 69 News , the county coroner's office was called to the scene.

A dump truck and a car were involved in the crash, according to WFMZ News.

69 News says the dump truck ended up on its side.

The roadway was closed for an extended period and traffic was backed up in the area as

Lehigh Township police and firefighters responded to the scene.
