Coroner on scene of shooting in Palmer Township Tuesday evening, suspect in custody

PALMER TWP., Pa. - An adult male suspect is in custody following a shooting in Northampton County Tuesday evening.
The coroner was seen driving up to the scene of the shooting, according to WFMZ News.
According to the news report, township police were dispatched to the unit block of Glasgow Way shortly before 7 pm. The address belongs to the Highlands at Glenmoor, a 55+ community.
A police investigation is currently in progress, and part of Glasgow Way is shut down.
County dispatchers initially said that two shots were fired, and crime scene tape was set up in the area.
Police have not confirmed the details of the incident at this time.
It's considered an isolated incident, according to a news release, and there is no threat to the public, according to the sergeant.
