BETHLEHEM, Pa - From 11 am -1 pm on Sunday, May 5 donations are being accepted for those in need at Sand Island Recreational Park.
Do you have any tents that you don’t use?
Items needed are:
4 man tents
Mummy Sleeping bags
Large heavy-duty tarps
Men’s and Women’s Cotton socks
Baby Wipes
Anti-fungal cream
Rolls of quarters for laundry
This event is hosted by two friends - a local advocate of the homeless community named Allison and her friend Beth, chef and owner of Local Mama catering company.
Starting at 11 am, both Allison and Beth will be stationed by the sign for Sand Island Park and also provide a meal for the homeless.
Please consider dropping off donations between 11-1 pm.
Any contributions are greatly appreciated.
What's going on in the Leigh Valley is also an advocate for the homeless and homeless Veterans in our community.
