Driver of dump truck killed in crash in Lehigh Township identified

LEHIGH TWP., Pa. - On Tuesday a crash took place between a tri-axle dump truck and a car on Route 145 in Lehigh Township.

According to dispatchers, the crash happened around 6:30 a.m. on Route 145 (Riverview Drive) at Mulberry Drive, just south of Walnutport.

The coroner's office was called to the scene.

52-year-old Lincoln P. Brown of Selinsgrove, PA died as a result of the injuries he sustained in the crash, according to the Northampton County coroner's office.

Mr. Brown was the operator of the dump truck which was traveling south along Route 145 when the accident occurred.  

The roadway was closed for an extended period and traffic was backed up in the area as

Lehigh Township police and firefighters responded to the scene.

No additional information will be released at this time.
