Flood Warning remains in effect for much of the area

Although a flood watch has been canceled, a flood warning remains in effect for much of the area, according to the National Weather Service.


Many roadways in the Lehigh Valley were flooded this morning.


As of 7:00 a.m., these roads were closed, according to Lehigh County dispatchers:


Saucon Valley Road between Lanark Road and Route 309 in Upper Saucon Township

Springtown Hill Road between Orchards Road and Lower Saucon Road in Lower Saucon Township

Limeport Pike/Palm Road between Powder Valley Road and Carls Hill Road in Lower Milford Township

Cetronia Road between Trexlertown Road and Schantz Road in Upper Macungie Township

Indian Creek Road between Macungie Road and Sauerkraut Lane, and Olympic Drive and South Cedar Crest Boulevard in Lower Macungie Township

Spring Creek Road at Mill Creek Road in Lower Macungie Township




Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain fell across the region, according to the National Weather Service.


Officially, 2.05 inches of rain fell Wednesday at Lehigh Valley International Airport,
