Heavy snow downs trees and power lines in the Lehigh Valley causing widespread power outages

Heavy snow from today's coastal storm in the Lehigh Valley has downed numerous trees and power lines resulting in widespread power outages.


Thousands are without power, according to data from PPL and Met-Ed.


Power is also reported as being out in Carbon and Monroe Counties in addition to Schuylkill County, with the highest number of outages reported as of 11:30 am this morning.
