Individuals identified in Triple Fatality Crash in Lynn Township, investigation ongoing

The Lehigh County Coroner has identified the individuals involved in a fatal motor vehicle accident in Lynn Township on Sunday.
Troopers from PSP Fogelsville were dispatched to the area of State Route 309 and Gun Club Road, Lynn Township, at approximately 2:30 pm, for the report of a three-vehicle motor vehicle crash.
Upon investigation, it was determined that a 2013 Hyundai Accent, operated by a 54-year-old female from Allentown, PA, was driving northbound on State Route 309 and crossed over into the southbound lanes of travel and struck a 2021 Jeep Compass operated by a 30-year-old female from Fountain Hill, PA, according to a press release. The third vehicle initially reported was not involved in this crash.

The Hyundai Accent had three occupants in the vehicle, while the Jeep Compass had two
occupants in the vehicle.
The operator of the Hyundai Accent was treated at the scene by Cetronia Ambulance and
transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest for her injuries. Both passengers, a 21-year-old female from Allentown and a 19-year-old male from New York, were pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash. The operator of the Jeep Compass was also transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest by Cetronia Ambulance.
On Monday, 61-year-old Jeffrey Pichel of Fountain Hill, a passenger in the Jeep, passed away, according to the press release. According to the Lehigh County Coroner, he was pronounced dead at 7:26 am. The cause of death was due to blunt force injuries due to a motor vehicle collision, and the manner of death ruled an accident, according to the coroner.
21-year-old Vannity I. Colon of Allentown (a passenger in the Hyundai Accent) was pronounced dead at 3:42 pm on the scene, and the cause of death is due to blunt force injuries due to a motor vehicle collision. The manner of death is ruled an accident, according to the coroner.
19-year-old Israel Medina of New York, NY (also a passenger in the Hyundai Accent) was pronounced dead at 3:43 pm on the scene, and the cause of his death was due to blunt force injuries from a motor vehicle collision, according to the coroner, and the manner of death ruled an accident.
In addition to the coroner's office, the Pennsylvania State Police from the Fogelsville Station
and the Lehigh County District Attorney's Office are also conducting investigations.
During this crash investigation, traffic was detoured on State Route 309 at Gun Club Road and
Mountain Road / Mosserville Road.
