Lehigh County C.R.A.S.H. unit conducts scheduled detail in South Whitehall Township

SOUTH WHITEHALL TWP., Pa - On Tuesday, August 5th, 2025, the Lehigh County C.R.A.S.H. unit conducted a scheduled detail in the 4500–4900 block of W. Tilghman Street, South Whitehall Township, from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Participating agencies included officers from the South Whitehall Township Police Department, Upper Macungie Police Department, Catasauqua Police Department, enforcement officers from the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue, enforcement officers from the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC), and the Law Enforcement Liaison for the Pennsylvania Highway Safety Traffic Network.
During the detail:
• 14 commercial vehicles were inspected.
• 15 fuel tanks were dipped and checked by the Department of Revenue.
• 10 vehicles/drivers were found to have violations.
• 2 drivers were placed out of service.
• 1 vehicle was placed out of service.
• 1 drug arrest was made, which is considered a major violation for a commercial vehicle driver and the associated company.
