Lehigh County Coroner identifies woman and one-year-old killed in Allentown

SOUTH WHITEHALL TWP., Pa - The Lehigh Coroner has identified the 44-year-old woman and one-year-old toddler who were killed in Allentown last Friday night, December 29.

According to Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio, 44-year-old Ada Ortiz was pronounced dead on Friday, December 29, 2023 at 9:59 pm at her home located at the 100 block of Chestnut Street in Allentown.


The cause of death is multiple gunshot wounds and the manner of death is ruled a homicide, according to the coroner. Ms. Ortiz was the victim of a shooting.

One-year-old Sebastian Serrano was also pronounced dead on Friday, December 29, 2023, at 10:01 PM in the home at the 100 Block of Chestnut Street, Allentown, PA. The death is ruled a homicide, according to the coroner. Baby Serrano is a victim of a shooting.


Ortiz died of multiple gunshot wounds. An autopsy is being conducted at the time to determine the cause of death for one-year-old Sebastian.

A GoFundMe has been set up for setup to help pay for Funeral and burial expenses for both Ortiz and one-year-old, Sebastian. They were grandmother and grandson, according to the fundraiser.
