Lehigh County remains under a Flood Warning

Lehigh County remains under a flood warning. until 7:15 pm this evening, according to the National Weather Service.


Please do not drive through flooded roadways or around road-closed signs.

There have been numerous water rescues today, according to dispatchers.


Turn around. Don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.


Move to higher ground. Act quickly to protect your life.


Several districts had two-hour delays, and the Perkiomen Valley School District is closed Monday., according to WFMZ.


Parkland School District dismissed students early.


Report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of east central Pennsylvania, including the
  following county, Lehigh.

* WHEN...Until 715 PM EST Monday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1227 PM EST, Both USGS gauges in Trexlertown were above
    flood stage.Flooding will continue throughout the day.
    Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain fell last night.
  - For Little Lehigh at Trexlertown near Little Lehigh Creek:
    At 12:15pm the stage was 5.55 feet.
    Flood Stage is 4.5 feet.
    ...
    For Spring Creek at Trexlertown at Spring Creek:
    At 11:30am the stage was 5.69 feet.
    Flood Stage is 4.5 feet.
  - This includes Interstate 78 in Pennsylvania between mile
    markers 49 and 50.
