Long Time Marian Catholic Football Coach, Stan Dakosty retires.

Long-Time Marian Catholic High School football coach, Stan Dakosty announced his retirement this week per the administration of the school on Wednesday morning.

Coach Dakosty is the all-time leader in wins in District XI with 326 over his illustrious career--all at Marian Catholic. He led the Colts to the 1990 state championship over Farrell. This past season he guided his squad to the District XI 1A championship.

Dakosty originally retired in 2016, but came back to try to revitalize a struggling program in 2019 as they only had a dozen players out for football that year.

Marian Catholic will start the search for a new football immediately and will accept applications until the position is filled.
