National Weather Service calls for spotty freezing rain and black ice to develop across portions of Southeast Pennsylvania and Northern New Jersey

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly New Jersey issued a special weather statement as of 2:51 am EST Sunday January 7 for the following locations:


Warren-Morris-Hunterdon-Berks-Lehigh-Northampton-Delaware- Western Chester-Eastern Chester-Western Montgomery- Eastern Montgomery-Upper Bucks-Lower Bucks- Including the cities of Washington, Morristown, Flemington, Reading, Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton, Media, Honey Brook, Oxford, West Chester, Kennett Square, Collegeville, Pottstown, Norristown, Lansdale, Chalfont, Perkasie, Morrisville, and Doylestown


The National Weather Service calls for spotty freezing rain and black ice to develop across portions of southeast Pennsylvania and northern New Jersey early this morning with temperatures dropping around freezing.


This will result in slick and locally icy spots on the roads.


Please exercise caution while driving this morning.
