National Weather Service issues a flood advisory

...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of east central Pennsylvania...and southeast
Pennsylvania...including the following counties...in east central
Pennsylvania...Berks, Lehigh, and Northampton. In southeast
Pennsylvania...Montgomery.

* WHEN...Until 1000 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 659 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly across portions of the advisory area. Rainfall
amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in a short amount of
time.
- Some locations that may experience flooding include...
Allentown, Easton, Bethlehem, Pottstown, Emmaus, Northampton,
Wilson, Hellertown, Nazareth, Birdsboro, Kutztown, and
Slatington.
- This includes the following highways...
Interstate 78 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 37 and 75.
Northeast Extension between mile markers 46 and 71.
