National Weather Service warns of first chance of accumulating snowfall of the season for our region

Our first chance for some accumulating and potentially impactful snowfall will occur for some this weekend, according to the NWS. We will have a better idea in the next day or two.

According to the National Weather Service, areas along and north of the I-78 corridor are the most likely to see snow accumulations Saturday into Sunday.

The I-95 corridor, however, will likely get stuck with a rain/snow mix with areas south and east seeing mostly rain, according to the NWS.

There remains quite a bit of uncertainty with this storm, but we will have more details in the coming days. A weather map will also be released.

Looking ahead: the National Weather Service says another big storm system is expected to arrive the middle of next week that could bring widespread heavy rain and flooding concerns once again.
