One person was flown to the hospital from house fire in Monroe County, two dogs and seven cats died

UPDATE: According to WFMZ News, a man had jumped out of a second-floor window to escape the fire.

JACKSON TWP., Pa. - Crews are on the scene of a serious house fire in the Poconos.


The fire was originally reported by dispatchers around 9:45 a.m.


The fire is located on Cays Road in Jackson Township, Monroe County - just a few miles south of Camelback Ski Resort.



One person was flown to the hospital with injuries, according to a report by WFMZ News.

According to Channel 69 News. , the two-story home appears to have significant interior damage,


Authorities have not yet commented on injuries or what may have sparked the fire.
