Overturned crane closes southbound lanes of Route 309 in Bucks County, one person sent to hospital

W. ROCKHILL TWP., Pa. - One person was sent to the hospital following an accident involving an overturned crane on Route 309 southbound, according to WFMZ News. 


At around 7:00 am, the truck, described as a crane, tipped over, according to the news report.


Reports say someone was trapped inside. 



It took place between Route 563 and Route 152. 


The operator of the crane is a 52-year-old man from Ringoes, Hunterdon County, New Jersey, according to WFMZ.  He sustained serious injuries and was taken to Grandview Hospital, according to state police.


The SB Lanes of Route 309 in that area remain closed and are expected to re-open by 3 p.m, according to the news report. 


An investigation is underway.
