Partnership between Google and PASSHE will give students training for in-demand jobs

Governor Shapiro talked to students at Millersville University on Tuesday about a partnership between Google and the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE). This new collaboration will allow students to earn Google Career Certificates online with the same tuition used to pay for their classes.

"We need to make sure that we craft right now in the commonwealth a blueprint for higher education focused on competitiveness, focused on workforce development, and grounded in access and affordability for all," Shapiro said.

The program offered will take between 3-6 months depending on your courses and will cover topics such as cybersecurity, data analytics, digital marketing and e-commerce, business intelligence, IT support, project management, and user experience (UX) design.

Other schools currently participating in this program are Commonwealth, East Stroudsburg, Indiana, Kutztown, PennWest, Millersville, Shippensburg, and Slippery Rock.

More information about Google's Career Certificates program is available at grow.google/certificates or the PASSHE website.
